Wander

Image
Maybe I was meant to wander, To seek comfort in corners, To find beauty in edges, To find happiness in pieces, To find blessings, In other's left over. Maybe I was meant to be something, An eye of a storm, Where you seek solace, When it is tough. But you never wish, While enjoying summer time, A shadow where you hide, When the sun is high. When the night has come, A glass full of water, or I'm not enough, To quench your thirst. Maybe I was meant to be nothing, In a world that offers everything. - Pranavi Darsi

Long Distance Friendship

Image
A long-distance friendship grows more and more, Not just our memories and secrets to store. I hate this distance between us, But we have a life ahead to focus. I miss you and I miss you till the world ends, And our friendship lives till a straight line bends. Let us be each other's best critics and admirers, And be each other's smile creators. Doesn't matter when we meet again, We will pick it up where we left the train. The words between us are lesser than ever, But our love, an ocean deep and deeper. Your problems will always be mine, And will always get your back when you forget to shine. This is a promise from a friend to a friend, Where this fake world forgets such a trend. I love you all and you love me, that's so fair. Yes, we are the best friends and forever I swear. I love you so much and miss you a lot. - Pranavi Darsi

And then again, I'll be all alone, shattered and broken. Vivaan again uttered the same words, "Just hold my hand". This time, I didn't. Instead, I had a question. I looked away at the clock that was striking 6:59pm. And I questioned Vivaan, "Hold my hand? Until when? Where will you take me?" Before I could finish, Vivaan already had my hands in his and then he said something that left me blank f...
