The Loner
# 1
I'm a loner,
A wanderer of lost spaces,
A collector of unwanted things,
Carrying myself everywhere,
Along with this path taking me somewhere,
Of things, new and undiscovered.
I'm a loner,
Trying to make the most of the alone time I get,
Exploring its prospect,
It's guilty pleasure & Enchanting smiles,
And all that it has to offer.
I'm a loner,
Of motion and dread
I carry it on my side,
Taking everything in like a sponge,
Keeping it in my stride.
Trying to understand this world and its people.
I'm a loner,
That's where I begin
And that's where I'll end.
# 2
Why can't they
just take me as
I am?
Why do they ask
me to change?
I wonder if it's
wrong. Just being
you.
Too good for the
world, too good
to be true.
Lash out on me.
call me
crazy, neurotic
And call my ways
pathetic
But one day I'll
rise and shine
Like the little
bird that grows
and flies
But I ponder
everyday.
Why can't they
just take me as
I am?
