Why does love leave us, when we need it the most?

Ever wondered why your heart shatters into pieces knowing that the gaps between those fingers which were once yours, will never be yours again? The conversation which was once meant to bring butterflies in your stomach now brings only grief. Those calls which once comforted your soul, feel like a heavy stone in your heart, isn't it,?

This is how a person starts feeling when their heart is left vacant by the only person whom it had considered to love forever.

Why does love leave us, when we need it the most?
Even I had the same question in my mind when for the first time I got my heart got broken by the one who still resides in it. At that time, the only thing I wanted to do was to stop him from mislaying our bond and plead with him to stay. But nothing really worked because he was no longer in love with me. Years later, I realised that if he would have stopped that day, it would just merely have been for only a few days, not forever. Because to stay forever you need to love someone but here it was a tale of an unrequited love story which was destined to end in such a tragic manner.

Love had left me when I needed it the most. And after that, I was no longer interested in relationships because that one previous hurt compelled me not to fall in love.

You know when you desperately want a person to be with you, and that person doesn't reciprocate back the same love in return, that is how love teaches you it's not always the person whom you think you need the most, is the right one for you. It's the person who knows to treat you well, is the real one who deserves to be with you. And we often neglect such a person and keep running behind that one person who doesn't even pay any heed to our existence.

Wait for the right one to fill the empty spaces of your heart and not just your fingers.
